EXCEPTIONAL SILVER!! Fine, tangled wires of Native Silver with Calcite accents!
Classic old timer from the Himmelsfurst Mine in Freiberg, Saxony, Germany.
This specimen is Ex. F. J. Barlow Collection and the bottom photo comes directly
from Barlow's book where the specimen is actually pictured and written about!
Measures 6 cm by 7.3 cm in size. A prize specimen for any Silver collector!
Gorgeous specimen of Red Fluorite on matrix!
From the Point Kurtz Pocket, 1991, Mount Chamonix, Haute-Savoie, France.
Specimens with this depth of color are very rare and disappeared off the market
into private collections almost immediately. A few are just now making it back to
the show market and this was one of the best at Denver! Measures 9 cm by 4.5 cm.
    ex. Gerard Pallix Collection.
Dazzling specimen of Gold on Quartz drusy from Romania!
This classic specimen is from the old mining district of Rosia Montana, Romania.
Specimens from here are prized by collectors and don't appear on the market very often.
The size of this piece is about 4.5 cm by 3.5 cm in total size with heavy Gold coverage!
From the Kevin Ward collection. Photography by Kevin Ward
Gorgeous pink and green zoned octahedral Fluorites on Muscovite!
Excellent specimen! The bi-color Fluorite crystals are scattered atop
the Muscovite books and Albite. The largest Fluorite measures 7 cm across.
Total specimen size is 8.5 cm by 11 cm with scattered white Albite crystals.
From Nagar, N.W.F.P., Pakistan. Very nice!
Superb Golden Topaz on Albite and Smoky Quartz!
The best Topaz combination at the Denver Show in my opinion. In terms
of aesthetics, I didn't see any better than this one. The Topaz measures
nearly 2 1/2 inches in length and over 1 inch wide! The entire specimen
measures a cabinet sized 9 cm by 15 cm with three terminated Smokies.
From Dassu, Shigar Valley, North of Skardu, Pakistan.
Excellent plate of Wardite crystals on matrix!
I don't find many specimens of this quality and this one caught my eye at
Tucson. It measures 6 cm by 11 cm in total size and is covered from one end
to the other with lime-green Wardite crystals! From Rapid Creek in Yukon,
Canada. The crystals are very lustrous and reflective and average .5 cm and
larger. A choice specimen of the scarce mineral that resembles my last name!
RARE!! Wires of Silver swirling around a Quartz accenting!
From the famous Silver Islet Mine in
Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada! Circa 1870's.
This locale was Ontario's first Silver producing mine and specimens are very scarce
and highly prized by all collectors. This one measures nearly 5 cm by 3.4 cm in size!
A choice specimen for any quality Silver collection!

This is hands down, the BEST plate of Galena from the classic Tri-State Region that I've ever seen!
This solid Chert matrix is covered with dozens of lustrous, sharp, well formed Galena cubes along
with a sprinkling of Ruby-Jack Sphalerite and bronze Marcasite crystals! From the mines in Joplin,
Missouri. Large cabinet in size, this plate measures 14 cm by 22 cm in size. A remarkable specimen!
Classic old specimen of swirling Wire Silver on Argentite!
From the closed Frontier Mine in South Lorrain, Ontario, Canada.
The base is rich in Argentite (Silver Sulfide) with dozens of thick Silver
wires emerging from the Calcite coated matrix. This old locality is long
since closed and matrix specimens are very rare! Measures 6.5 by 6 cm.
Gorgeous cabinet sized plate of botryoidal hot pink Rhodochrosite and Pyrite!
From the Oppu mine, Aomori Prefecture, Japan. This beautiful specimen displays
a vibrant pink sparkling botryoidal crystalline rhodochrosite completely covering a
12.5 x 10.5 x 4.5 cm matrix. Fantastic color and there's only one minor contact!
SUPERB!! Terminated elongated Pyrargyrite crystal cluster!
Micro-crystals of Pyrargyrite accent the upper portions of both terminations.
This exceptional specimen is from Guanajuato, Durango, Mexico. Measures 5.5 cm in length!
    Ex. F. J. Barlow Collection.
Beathtaking spray of yellow Heliodor crystals on Albite!!
The center of each crystal is frosted yellow and this changes over to
a very gemmy yellow near the top termination. This spray is made up
of over a dozen beautiful crystals with a few Smoky Quartz crystals
mixed in for accenting. The blocky Albite crystals are quite attractive
as well and make for excellent contrast. From the Zelatoya Vada
Mine near Rangkul, Tajikistan. Measures 7 cm by 7 cm in size.

EXTREMELY RARE!! Huge crystal of Azurite with partial ps. to chatoyant Malachite!
This crystal is from the famous Perkin Sams Pocket and is one of only a few that exist
outside museums. When this pocket was found, millionaire Perkin Sams purchased the
entire pocket of crystals. He later donated them to museums, mainly the Houston Museum,
but a few escaped into private collections. This is a unique and rare opportunity to add a
crystal from this famous pocket to your collection. I doubt you will find another.
From the Tsumeb Mine in Tsumeb, Namibia. SW Africa! Circa 1968.
Measures 10 cm by 4.5 cm in size
Classic old pseudomorph! Chalcopyrite pseudo. after Goethite on Quartz!
From the Steward Mine in Butte, Montana. This flashy specimen measures
6 cm by 5 cm. Old collection writing on the back of specimen explaining origin.
    From the J. Kassionas Collection.
A Mexican classic! Amethyst clusters on Galena with Quartz drusy!
This specimen came from a small pocket found in the 1960's in Naica, Mexico.
I can honestly say that I've never seen a specimen of this combination before
and it caught my eye immediately when I found it! The Amethyst crystals are all
terminated and perfect. They sit atop a matrix of lustrous Galena with a scattering
of smaller Quartz points and drusy which adds further contrast to this very aesthetic
specimen. Measures 7.5 cm by 9 cm in size with three Amethyst clusters. I seriously
doubt I could replace this specimen anytime soon because they are so rare and classic.
    Superb Sylvanite on drusy Quartz!
From the old mining district of Baya de Aries in Romania, formerly known as
Offenbanya. These specimens were mined aproximately in the 1880s when the mines
in this district flourished. Unfortunately, mining declined after World War 1 and most
of these pieces are off the market in older collections. This specimen is loaded with
bright lustrous Sylvanite and measures 5.5 cm by 7.5 cm with a small Quartz pocket!

Classic and rare Diamond on matrix specimen from Brazil!
These Brazilian Diamond matrix specimens pre-date the Russian pieces.
The Diamond is in a conglomerate with numerous water worn stones and the
entire process of formation appears to be sedimentary. The Diamond
stands out against the darker pebbles with great flash. The photos above
display this brightness quite nicely. From Diamantina, Minas Gerais,
Brazil. Measures 5.5 cm by 8.5 cm in size with a .6 -.7 cm Diamond!
Gorgeous specimen of dark reddish-pink Fluorite atop lustrous gemmy Smoky Quartz!
A stunning specimen that was the best of the entire lot brought out some years ago from
the Point Kurtz Pocket, circa 1991, Mount Chamonix, Haute-Savoie, France. A true
museum piece measuring 6 cm by 4.5 cm in size. Ex. Gene Meieran mineral collection.
Superb specimen of the very scarce mineral Covellite!
This mineral is becoming almost impossible to find in high quality
bladed form but this piece has it all! Iridescent blades cover the
top portion of this 9.5 cm tall matrix. Also with some Quartz xls and
Pyrite. This specimen is from the Leonard Mine in Butte, Montana!

Long terminated blades of the RARE mineral Legrandite!
This exceptional specimen is from Mina Ojuela, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico.
The glowing yellow blades measure nearly 2 cm in length! Overall, this
specimen measures a small cabinet 4 cm deep by 9 cm across. The crystals
are protected inside a geode-like Hematite pocket. Very attractive piece!
Formerly of the Steve Neely Collection.

Superb Morganite on Lepidolite!!! A complete, perfect Morganite!
One of the best I've ever seen! This specimen boasts a nearly 2 inch Morganite
on a 15 cm by 15 cm matrix of pink Lepidolite crystals. An incredible combination
from Nuristan, Afghanistan. This specimen would do any high end collection proud!
    Museum quality specimen!
Breathtaking lavender and golden zoned Fluorite on Sphalerite!
There's also a little bit of light blue zoning on the outer edges. When this
crystal is exposed to a back light it glows! From the Denton Mine in
the Harris Creek District, Hardin County, Illinois. Superb color zoning!
Measures 8.5 cm by 6.5 cm in size.
Look at the dramatic appearance of this Quartz cluster on Pyrite!
There are no broken points on this absolutely perfect specimen
from Chengzhou, Hunan Province of China. The Pyrite cluster is
very lusterous and sharp. Super specimen measuring 6.5 cm by 7 cm.
Exceptional specimen of horn Rhodochrosite from Argentina!
This multi-growth Rhodo horn has been cut and polished to expose
the beautiful color rings in the interior. One of the better I've seen
recently! From Capillitas Mine in Andalgala, Catamarca, Argentina.
Measures 5.5 cm by 5.4 cm in size.

HUGE plate full of Benitoite and Neptunite crystals covering Natrolite matrix!
From the Benitoite Gem Mine in San Benito County, California. This plate is loaded
with several dozen of these blue Benitoite crystals and many display gemmy portions!
The Neptunite crystals are lustrous, sharp and well terminated as well! This plate
measures 15 cm by 14 cm in total size. Museum quality specimen full of color!

MUSEUM QUALITY Pyromorphite crystals on matrix!
Among the three best specimens that I've seen from China and the best display
on matrix of any that I've seen! The crystals are well formed and rich apple-green
in color. As for damage... what damage? I can't find any whatsoever on this piece!
From the Daoping Lead-Zinc Mine, Guangxi Province, China. Measures a cabinet
sized 11.5 cm by 8.5 cm. Very aesthetic, pristine, and displays with a custome base.
Exceptional specimen of crystalline Gold rising from Quartz matrix!
This is quite simply the best Gold on Quartz I've ever seen from the
Demaria Gold Mine in Michigan Bluff, California! The luster, flash,
and three-dimensionality of this specimen is absolutely incredible!
You can actually display it from either front or back but I prefer this
side because it looks like a golden sea horse. A museum quality Gold
specimen with super aesthetics and so much more personality than
what you usually find out of California. Measures 7.5 cm by 4.4 cm.
Formally of the Gene Meieran Collection.
Superb crystal of Willemite with a smaller crystal of Franklinite on Calcite!
Very cute specimen from the Franklin Mine in Sus*-*-*- County, New Jersey.
I don't see many Willemite crystals as large and as complete as this one
very often. The combination with the 1 cm Franklinite really makes it a great
combination piece! Willemite specimens also fluoresce a bright green under
ultra-violet light. Measures 5.5 cm by 5.5 cm in size. Fully terminated and nice!
Formally of the Bill Smith Collection.
I can't begin to tell you just how incredible this Dioptase on Calcite really is!
The main crystal is perfect and measures almost 2 cm in size! All of the crystals
are sharp, gemmy, and super shiny with exceptional color! From Tsumeb, Namibia.
Measures 4 cm by 5.5 cm. A killer Dioptase for folks who like great crystals!
Gorgeous blade of shiny Hematite with Rutile accents with Quartz points!
From Cavradi, St. Gotthard, Switzerland. This specimen is a stunner and
the addition of water-clear fully terminated Quartz crystals really sets
off the mirror-like Hematite crystal! The Hematite measures 3 cm in size
and sits perfectly on the 4.5 cm by 3.5 cm by 6.5 cm matrix. Exceptional!
Large Golden Topaz on bright white Cleavelandite!
A fully terminated gem which is absolutely perfect in every way!
From the locality of Yuno, 45 km NW of Shigar, Baltistan, Pakistan.
This gemmy, transparent Topaz is completely undamaged and measures
over 5 cm in length! The overall specimen measures 7.5 cm by 6 cm in size.
Exceptional specimen of Wire Silver swirling high above matrix!
This is one of the most aesthetic Peruvian Silvers I've seen and
it displays very well. The size measurements are 6.5 cm by 5 cm.
The swirling wires of Silver rise 4 cm above the matrix of host rock
and rough pink Rhodochrosite. From the Uchucchacua Mine,
Oyon Province, Lima Department, Peru. Very choice specimen!
Gorgeous specimen of some the finest Orpiment ever found!
From the Twin Creeks Mine in Humboldt County, Nevada.
Measures 9.5 cm by 5 cm by 5 cm in total size with few contacts.
This piece was selected from among the best specimens available!
My favorite mineral! Well defined blades of lavender Covellite on Pyrite and Quartz!
This is a cute little miniature of this scarce mineral and the blades are in great shape.
Bladed Covellite is incredibly difficult to find and I think I saw two specimens at the
entire Tucson mineral show this year. This was one of them. It measures 4.5 cm by
3.3 cm in size. From the Leonard Mine in Butte, MT. James McEwen Col. piece.

Gorgeous terminated crystal of precious Topaz on matrix!
This 5.5 cm Topaz is slightly pinkish-golden in color and comes from
the locality that has been mined for decades for its precious pink Topaz.
From Katlang, Mardan District, Pakistan. Precious Topaz crystals of
this size are rare and crystals perched so perfectly atop the hard matrix are
extremely rare since most are found through blasting. Measures 6 by 5 cm.

Beautiful new find of light blue Topaz crystals on Lepidolite with green Tourmaline!
Several specimens of this lovely mix of minerals appeared at Tucson this year and
this one caught my eye. It had the most Tourmaline together with the largest number
of Topaz crystals. The Topaz are complete and fully terminated. They are somewhat
lighter blue than their Brazilian counterparts but every bit as flashy. Measures 6 cm
by 7.5 cm in size. From Petch, Nuristan, Afghanistan.
Rare terminated yellowish-green Triphane crystal on Muscovite with Spessartine Garnet!
This piece came to Tucson this year from a new find in Afghanistan. Triphane is the brilliant
yellowish-green variety of Spodumene and this piece is classic with a perfect termination on
matrix sitting next to a gemmy Spessartine Garnet. This piece measures 8.5 cm by 5 cm in size.
Wow!! Deep grassy green Emerald on Calcite crystals!
This crystal is big and fully terminated! It measures 4 cm in total
length and is actually a cluster of several Emeralds with multiple
terminations. The Calcite is very fine and grows atop the Emerald's
right side. From Coscuez-Boyaca, Colombia. Measures 4 cm by 6 cm.
Want the perfect matching specimen for the huge Calcite above? Here's a large
Semi-raspberry Fluorite on drusy matrix with a Barite bloom at top! This crystal
is complete and perfect with a rehealed detachment on the backside. It really
would look along side the Calcite above and actually sits next to it on my shelf.
Measures 16 cm by 21.5 cm in size with reflective, shiny faces. Exceptional!!
From the Elmwood Mine in Carthage, Smith County, Tennessee.
Huge terminated crystals of Smoky Quartz from Russia!
From Dodo, Polar Urals, Russia. This is a HUGE specimen from the award-winning
Quartz collection of collector Jeff Glover. It's one of the finest Urals Smoky Quartz specimens
I've seen in terms of quality, and you have to multiply that by the sheer size of the piece. To get
a large specimen like this, without damage, is very rare! Technically, it is terminated all around
because the bottom tip is multiply-terminated, not broken. It's very gemmy and translucent to
transparent despite the thickness of the crystals! Measures a large cabinet 23.5 by 17 cm.
This is one of those specimens that I really hate to sell...
Large golden Calcite with double terminations sitting atop a Galena cube!
I go crazy over classic combination specimens like this and this is the finest
Calcite-Galena piece I have ever found from the Tri-State District. The Calcite
is gemmy and lustrous measuring 5.5 cm in length! The Galena is lustrous and
accented by a drusy of Chalcopyrite on the top face! It measures 5 cm across
with a 4 cm face. The corners are modified and slant across the cube. The
entire combination piece measures 7 cm by 6 cm in size and is super aesthetic!
Priced premo but the rarity of a specimen so attractive is worth it in my opinion.
    Ex. James McEwen Collection.
Gorgeous reddish-orange crystals of Vanadinite on coated Barite!
This specimen is from the new find of exceptional red crystals in
Mibladen, Morocco! The crystals are sharp and well defined. They
vary in size with the largest being more than 1 cm. The color is superb
and rich and contrasts very well with the dark matrix! Choice plate!
Measures 8.5 cm by 9 cm in total size.

Huge Golden Calcite on Calcite with Sphalerite!
This Calcite is total perfection! Fully double terminated and gorgeous, the main
Calcite sits aesthetically atop a matrix of WHITE Calcite crystals! Makes for great
contrast and is pretty unique as far as Elmwoods go. The tips of the crystals are all
complete and sharp. There are a couple of scattered Sphalerite rosettes among the
white Calcites. Measures a very large 25 cm (Calcite is 24 cm!!) by 11 cm in size.
This is a top quality specimen for a collector who wants the finest from this locality.
From the Elmwood Mine in Carthage, Smith County, Tennessee. Comes with stand

Large cabinet plate of GORGEOUS Rhodochrosite and Fluorite with Tetrahedrite!
I can honestly say this is the best plate of Rhodochrosite that I have ever seen. There
is NO damage anywhere! Every rhomb is complete as are the small cubic Fluorites
which accent the plate from top to bottom. Lustrous, shiny Tetrahedrite crystals add
further contrast to the plate and a sharp 2 cm Galena sits near the center just above
the base. Add a sprinkling of needle Quartz point and you get the picture of just what
this museum specimen has to offer. Every Fluorite cube is also phantomed with a
darker lavender zone! Am amazing specimen from the American Pocket in the Fluorite
Raise of the Sweet Home Mine, Alma, Colorado. Measures 13.5 cm by 12 cm in size!
Gorgeous gemmy crystals of Sulfur on Calcite matrix!
These crystals are so gemmy that they glow with color! You can actually
see the underlying matrix through the surface of each crystal face because
they are so clear. Exceptional specimen and one of the finest at Denver!
From Zoleo, La Graspa, Caltanisetta, Sicily, Italy. Measures 8 by 6.5 cm.
Classy Beryl var. Goshenite sitting atop Tourmaline and Albite!
Believe it or not, Goshenites are rather rare from Pakistan. I rarely
find them and was very happy when this one showed up. The crystal
is a perfect 2 cm and sits atop dark green Tourmaline. Total size is
5.5 cm by 4.5 cm. From the Haramosh Mts. in Peshawar, Pakistan.
From the Kevin Ward collection. Photography by Kevin Ward
Weird and unique specimen of Manganoan Calcite fingers on Calcite!
I've never seen a combination like this before! It's oddly beautiful and
caught my eye while shopping for new mineral specimens. The Calcites
are all terminated and the finger-like Manganoan Calcites are perfect
and complete. This specimen can actually be displayed from all sides!
From Dal'negorsk, Russia. Measures 10 cm by 6.5 cm by 5 cm in size.

Old classic Fluorite plate!! Blue Fluorite with yellow phantoming!
Cabinet sized specimen from the old Beihilfe Mine, Freiberg-Halsbruecke,
Saxony, Former East Germany. This is one of the best Fluorite plates I've
seen from this classic locality and it comes with several original labels!
Measures 12.5 cm by 16 cm in size. A must for collectors of both Fluorite
and famous locality pieces. Formally of the Herbert Obodda collection.
Gorgeous specimen of light blue Topaz sitting atop Feldspar with Tourmaline!
Toss in some scattered pink Lepidolite and you have a super little specimen!
The blue Topaz is actually included by a few Lepidolite xls and measures 2.5 cm
in size with a picture perfect termination. The Tourmaline crystals are pink
tipped and green and many are fully terminated. From the new find in Paprock,
Kunnar, Afghanistan. Measures 4.3 cm by 7.2 cm in total size. Very choice!
Incredible! Swirling wires of Silver on matrix with Rhodochrosite at top!
I searched the entire Denver show for a specimen of Rhodochrosite and Silver
and this was far and away the best of the three specimens that I saw. Actually,
the other two weren't even close in terms of size and aesthetics! From the
Uchucchacua Mine, Oyon Province, Lima Department, Peru. 6 cm by 5 cm.
Classic old specimen of octahedral Pyrite on Quartz!!
This plate is from the Leonard Mine in Butte, Montana. It's in excellent
condition with nearly a dozen perfect and lustrous Pyrite crystals on the
scattered Quartz points! The average size of each Pyrite is around 1.5 cm or
larger. The specimen measures 8 cm by 12 cm. A classics collector's dream!
From the Kevin Ward collection. Photography by Kevin Ward

Superb specimen from Tsumeb which is actually displayable from both sides!
The front is loaded with well defined Azurite crystals while the back side is
covered by large Malachite after Azurite! Cerussite crystals are scattered
throughout the piece. This piece is from the Upper Level in Tsumeb, Namibia
which dates back to before 1931. It measures 9 cm by 9 cm in size. Choice!!
From the M. Weill collection. Photography by Kevin Ward
Rare and unique classic! Silver crystals atop a perfect white Calcite from Norway!
Small (but impressive!) Miniature, 3.5 x 3 x 2.5 cm. This piece features sharply crystallized
silver crystals perched on a calcite rhomb! CYRSTALLIZED silver is infinitely more rare
from Kongsberg than the typical wire silver which it is more famous for, and to me more desirable
especially in rare combination with matrix like this one is. Exchanged from the Museum
in Rome by Giancarlo Parodi some years ago, and the museum listed it as having from from the
Struve collection and mined circa 1870.

    Ex. Museum of Rome Collection.
Classic specimen of dark Pink Rhodochrosite on Quartz drusy from Colorado!
This 1" rhomb of Rhodo looks large enough to be from the Sweet Home but
actually it's from the old locality of American Tunnel, Silverton, Colorado!
Specimens of this quality are becoming more and more difficult to find.
Measures 7.3 cm by 5.5 cm in size.
Probably the richest specimen of Romanian Gold on Quartz that I've ever seen!!
A simply amazing museum quality specimen that dates circa 1750-1800. It's loaded
with fine leaf Gold from top to bottom and every leaf displays dozens of well defined
trigons under magnification. From Verespatak, Romania. Measures 8 cm by 7 cm.
These mines have been mined for centuries and were mined by the Romans long ago.
Spectacular and very aesthetic cabinet specimen of Orpiment with Calcite!
The Calcites are finely terminated and serve as a wonderful backdrop for the
orange crystals of terminated Orpiment in the foreground. Over a dozen of
these crystals are present averaging 3 cm in length. The entire specimen
measures 9 cm by 14 cm with Realgar at top. From the Hunan Prov., China.
From the Kevin Ward collection. Photography by Kevin Ward
Blue Barite crystals on yellow Calcite from Colorado!
Exceptional cabinet specimen from the Leeson Pocket in Stoneham, Weld Co.,
Colorado. Circa 7/89. This is one of the better plates I've seen with crystals
measuring 7+ cm in length! This plate measures 12.5 cm by 10.5 cm.

Super large cabinet plate of Lavender Fluorite with internal frosting!!
This is the best plate I've ever seen from Weardale! The color is INTENSE and
the Fluorite cubes are perfect. This specimen is large at 12.5 cm by 22 cm in size
and the aesthetics are dazzling! From the Weardale locality in Co. Durham, England.

From the W. Caspers collection. Photography by Kevin Ward
HUGE Chalcopyrite crystals on lustrous Sphalerite matrix!
These are among the largest Chalcopyrite crystals ever found!
A small find of these incredible Chalcopyrites appeared several
years ago from Mina El Verde in Bahuichiuo, Chihuahua, Mexico.
They quickly disappeared into private collections and off the market.
I ran into this large cabinet plate at Tucson and grabbed it. The large
Chalcopyrites measure on average around 7 to 8 cm in length! The
total size of this plate is 11 cm by 17 cm. Impressive museum quality!
Formally of the Evan Jones Collection.
When comparing Opals, it's very hard to find specimen with more color and
fire than Virgin Valley Nevada Opal! Every color of the rainbow leaps out of
this nearly 5 cm specimen! Pictured above are the front and side views with
all of their flash and fire. Spectacular and every bit as great as Andamooka!
    Price $895

A swirling mix of color creates this beautiful slab of Chariote which is a
Calcium Potassium Silicate with swirling inclusions of Augite
    black, Feldspar white,
    and Tinaksite
orange. Look at the incredible star-burst of Tinaksite in the close-up!
From Murun, Siberia, Russia, this polished plate measures 15 cm by 8.5 cm.

    Price $285
Superb and very rare Malachite pseudomorphing after Covellite with Pyrite & Quartz!
This is one of the most amazing pseudomorphs I've ever seen! I rarely see Malachite
from Butte and this is the only time I've ever seen it pseudomorph Covellite. Actually,
it's the only time I've even seen a Covellite pseudomorph! I have to believe that this
specimen is very unique and it's definately a classic. From the Leonard Mine in Butte,
Montana. There appear to be several sprays of Barite scattered between the blades!
The best Galena on Sphalerite specimen I have ever seen from the Elmwood Mine!
This specimen is museum quality! It's loaded with numerous large and very lustrous
Galena cubes nestled between reddish-black crystals of bright Sphalerite. This was
part of a large Elmwood collection that came to Denver this year and this was the
best Galena piece in the entire collection. From the Elmwood Mine in Smith Co.,
Tennessee. This cabinet sized specimen measures 8 cm by 14 cm in size. Flashy!
The best Golden Fluorite and Calcite combination I've seen in a long time!
This Villabona, Spain specimen is perfect and glows with color! The Calcite
crystals average 2+ cm and are flawless. They site atop the bright Golden
Fluorite surface along with some scattered Dolomite crystals. Measures
10 cm by 7.5 cm in size with a slight accenting of Chalcopyrite. Super piece.
A classic beauty with quite an impressive pedigree!
Here we have a perfect gemmy pink Fluorite sitting next to a completely terminated
Adularia crystal on a matrix of Quartz and Adularia! The Fluorite measures 2 cm
and the Adularia measures 3 cm in size. The entire specimen measures 7 cm by
9.5 cm in total size. From St. Gotthard, Uri, Switzerland. Very impressive specimen!
Formally of the Bement and American Museum of Natural History Collection.
From the Kevin Ward collection. Photography by Kevin Ward
This specimen is fantasic! One side features over a dozen well defined
and lustrous Pyrite cubes on Quartz while the other side features lavender
Fluorite crystals in cluster! One of the best non-Rhodochrosite pieces I've
seen from the Sweet Home Mine. Pyrite from the Sweet Home is scarce
enough but a combination specimen with the aesthetics of this one is seldom
seen. Some well defined crystals of Tetrahedrite are also scattered among the
Pyrites. Measures 9 cm by 10.5 cm. From the Sweet Home Mine, Alma, CO.
Rare!! Bi-color pink and green Tourmaline on Lepidolite matrix from Brazil!
Also with crystal-clear Quartz points and Cleavelandite. Matrix specimens of
Tourmaline from Brazil are extremely difficult to find and this one is gorgeous!
The measurements are 8.7 cm by 7 cm with the main Tourmaline measuring
5 cm and the secondary Tourmaline measuring 4 cms. Both are terminated
and gemmy with full translucense! The Quartz crystals are all perfect and
terminated with smaller Tourmalines scattered throughout the matrix.
From Lavra da Pederneira, Sao Jose da Safira, Minas Gerais, Brazil

Beautiful green Smithsonite with Hemimorphite sprays!
Awesome specimen from Level 8 of the San Antonio Mine in Santa Eulalia,
Chihuahua, Mexico. This exceptional miniature measures 4.5 cm by 4.8 cm in size!
Unique specimen of free standing acicular sprays of maroon Kermesite on matrix!
Kermesite in this form is much scarer than the matrix trapped crystals usually
found in the Czech Republic. This specimen is from the Pezinok Mine in the
Male Karpaty Mountains of Slovakia. It measures 5.5 cm by 5 cm in size.
    This locality was covered in
The Mineralogical Record, vol. 31, no. 2.
From the Kevin Ward collection. Photography by Kevin Ward
Beautiful deep pink Tourmaline perched along the side of Albite matrix!
The Tourmaline is completely double terminated and measures 6 cm in
length and 3 cm in width! The entire specimen including matrix measures
7 cm by 5.5 cm. From Paprok, Nuristan, Afghanistan. Gemmy pink color!
Flawless apple-green Fluorite surrounded by Galena!
Really nice green Fluorites are becoming incredibly hard to
find from Naica. Most are washed out or dull. This one is so
green that it rivals the green Fluorites from China! Perfect
little octahedral Galena crystals accent the edges of this
flashy small cab specimen from Naica, Chihuahua, Mexico.
Measures 7.5 cm by 6 cm in total size.
    From the J. Kassionas Collection.
HUGE Chalcopyrite crystals on lustrous Sphalerite matrix!

Classic and rare specimen of extremely gemmy Sphalerite on matrix!
This Sphalerite is so gemmy that it resembles orange glass! The size
of this gorgeous miniature is 3.8 cm by 4.5 cm. The locality is listed
on a plastic Barlow competition label as the Dogup Mine in Tinagh
(Tynagh), Ireland. I don't know too much about this locality except to
say that gemmy Sphalerites from there are very rare and would date
to the early 1900's or late 1800's I have been told. A superb miniature!

A pseudomorph collector's dream!! Shimmering Malachite pseudomorphing
Azurite with Azurite from the classic locality of Tsumeb, Namibia! This is one
superb specimen! I found it during last year's Denver show and I'm just now
adding it to the website because I've enjoyed having it on my shelf during
the past 5 months. Unfortunately, the inventory must roll on so here's your
chance to add it to your collection. Measures 6 cm by 6 cm in total size.
From the Kevin Ward collection. Photography by Kevin Ward
Classic and superb specimen of Malachite pseudomorphing Azurite xls!
From the old Copper Queen Mine in Bisbee, Cochise County, Arizona.
Measures 7 cm x 6 cm x 4 cm in total size. Undamaged and perfect!
Very rare and much more difficult to find than the Tsumeb pseudos!
The best Spessartine Garnet on Galena I have ever seen!
These Garnets are usually small and broken but this gorgeous red crystal
is perfect and complete at 2 1/2 cms! Other small Spessartines are scattered
atop the very lustrous and shiny Galena matrix. From the South Mine of the
Broken Hill locality in New South Wales, Australia. Measures 4.2 by 5.5 cm.

Circa 1950. Formally of the Bill Larson and E. M. Gunnell collections.
Superb old classic!! Swirling Wire Silver from Freiberg!
This specimen is 100% perfect, aesthetic, and authentic! There has
been talk of some counterfeit Silvers on the market recently but this
piece comes out of an older European collection with a strong pedigree
and has been autheticated by several dealers who specialize in classical
Silver specimens. It also grows off a matrix and displays an antiquish
patina along some of the wires. I like it because it looks so much
like an old tree! Measures 6.8 cm by 4.2 cm. From Freiberg, Germany.
    Superb Pyromorphite with Calcite accents!
This cabinet sized specimen is from the San Luis Mine in Guazapares,
Chihuahua, Mexico. It measures 8 cm by 14 cm in size and displays
a wonderful yellowish green spray of Pyromorphite in pocket.
    Classic Stibnite on matrix specimen!
From the old mining town/ghost town of Manhatten, Nevada!
This specimen is from the White Caps Mine and it's the best Stibnite
I've ever seen from Manhatten. Most of the crystals are terminated
and complete with a shiny grey luster! It's also very large measuring 9.5 cm
by 15 cm in size. Manhatten dates back to around the 1860's and mining has
taken place sporadically ever since. Gold, Silver, and Lead the primary ores
